In this exclusive video interview with Breitbart News, Dr. William Lipsky, author of the new book, The Dentist’s Tale, discusses the dangers of being sexually assaulted at dentists training classes.
Lipski said, “As a professional, you have to be prepared for sexual assault and rape, both as a professional and as a person.
It’s very important to be aware of your own safety.”
Dr. Lippersky went on to say that if you are sexually assaulted or assaulted by a staff member at a training class you should immediately report it to the police.
“As long as you are trained in sexual assault prevention, you should be prepared to go to the hospital if you need to,” Lipsksy said.
“But if you’re not trained in that, you can be more vulnerable.”
The problem with this is that there is a culture in the profession that says, ‘We’re just here to serve people, not to make money,’ and so it is difficult to say, ‘I don’t want to go in there because they’re going to rape me.’
“It’s very dangerous to go into a training program if you don’t have the experience of that person. “
You’re not going to be able to get the dental work done unless you have a good experience with that person, whether it’s a trained professional, a dental hygienist or a dental student,” Lipperski said.
“It’s very dangerous to go into a training program if you don’t have the experience of that person.
If that person doesn’t know you, they’ll be more likely to sexually assault you.
If you are a dental worker who’s trained in trauma, you are more likely than a dental school, or a general practitioner, or an office worker, to sexually attack you.”
Lipskys advice is a good one, but it’s worth pointing out that the training is a training.
The training itself is a set of instructions, and is not the real purpose of the training.
It is just another form of training.
Lippsky said the main thing that needs to be done is to ensure that dentists are aware of the steps they need to take if they want to protect themselves from being sexually harassed.
“Don’t get into the habit of saying, ‘Oh, I’m not going into that training because I don’t think it’s safe,’ because that’s the wrong message,” Lippskys said.
He said that the first step is to educate yourself about the issues surrounding sexual harassment in dentistry.
“I think it is important to know that you are not alone, there are others in the dental community who have experienced sexual harassment, whether you’re a student or a dentist,” Lipsonksy added.
“It’s something to be cognizant of and learn from.
And you also need to be very aware that there are professionals who do not feel comfortable with that.
They are not in a position to do it.
So I think it really is important that they learn about it and be prepared.”
Lipski also urged people who are sexually harassed or assaulted to take the following steps to protect yourself: Don’t hesitate to call the police or the appropriate agency, such as the Department of Health or the Accreditation Council for Dental Accreditation (ACD), for assistance.
Take steps to make sure that your social media accounts are not used to engage in harassing or inappropriate behavior.
Report it to a colleague, or to your employer.
Avoid the situation if you can.
Don’t let it happen again.
“You have to remember that what we’re teaching is not a game, it’s not a simulation, it is not something you are trying to avoid,” Liphys advice said.
“There is a very real risk of sexual assault when people get in training with a trained person who has been trained in this field.
And I think we need to make a real effort to educate ourselves about the risks, and we need more training and awareness programs.”
