Police are getting training classes in an effort to help them improve their performance in an era of police accountability.
Denver police Chief Robert White said Tuesday that officers have received training on using body cameras and social media since 2016.
“I think there’s a lot of frustration among officers across the city,” White said.
White said Denver officers are also going to be getting training on their use of force and how to recognize when someone is mentally ill.
White told the Associated Press that the department is working with other law enforcement agencies across the country to equip officers with the necessary training.
